LUMINARIUM UPDATE

On Thursday we reached the limit of safe operational temperature inside Dodecalis and found it necessary to close the structure for 3 hours in the afternoon. During this time we fitted some cooling devices which have made some difference, however, we won't know until closer to lunchtime on Friday whether they will make enough difference to keep the structure open 1-3pm.

Due to extreme temperatures, we have reviewed our practice and no longer recommend that babies are taken inside the luminarium. Pregnant visitors may also wish to consider whether they will be comfortable inside the space.

We are very sorry it's not possible to be clearer at this stage. Please keep an eye on social media (@LakesideArts), our website and/or your emails for updates.

Yes! Tickets can be purchased on the day online on the link above, or at our box office. Please note, the box office will be busy.

Can I bring my pushchair into the Luminarium?
No, pushchairs must be left in our dedicated secure area, which you will be directed to by one of our front-of-house team.

Where can I get a baby under 18 months ticket?
Baby/under 18-month tickets are free and can be pre-booked by calling our box office. They will also be available to pick up at the entrance to the Luminarium, so you don't need to queue at box office to get one on the day.

Will I have to queue?
Yes, the Luminarium is extremely popular, so you may have to queue for some time before you get to go inside. We aim to have everyone queueing for less than 60 minutes, but this is subject to how popular a timeslot is. Please come prepared for the weather as you will have to queue outside.

What happens if it rains?
The Luminarium is well-equipped for the rain, and will continue as normal. In the case of extreme weather conditions such as heavy downpours or high winds, we may make the decision to close the Luminarium for a brief period- you will be notified of any changes and cancellations.

If I can't make my timeslot, do I get to change it?
Unfortunately, we will not be able to move your timeslot. We can, however, refund your tickets/s and can book you another slot. To get your refund, please contact our box office on 0115 846 7777.
