A chance to have your work hanging on the walls of the prestigious Djanogly Gallery at Lakeside Arts.
Inspired by Lakeside’s current exhibition Drawn Through Time: Penny McCarthy, Titian and other Time Travellers (9 May – 26 July), this is an open application exhibition for UK-based artists working with drawing. Your work will be featured in our upcoming exhibition Reflections, which opens 1 – 31 August 2026.
Reflections aims to celebrate the diversity and workmanship of contemporary drawing and provide a platform for artists to showcase their work to a wide public audience.
The Gallery
Lakeside Arts is the University of Nottingham’s public arts centre and the region’s leading venue for theatre and dance for children and families. The Djanogly Gallery is internationally renowned for visiting exhibitions, major historical exhibitions and cutting-edge contemporary installations. The Djanogly Gallery has recently exhibited work by Andy Warhol, Lowry, Saad Qureshi, Kate MccGwire and Conrad Shawcross.
Who Can Enter?
The Reflections Drawing Open is open to all artists who work with drawing, and is a chance to showcase your work in a high-profile, curated setting.

The Brief: The exhibition welcomes all interpretations of “drawing.” If your work is drawing-based, it belongs here.

How to Apply: Submissions should be made here Lakeside Arts Drawing Open: Call for Entries – Lakeside Arts, Nottingham. You will need six high-quality JPEGs of your work and an artist statement.

The Selection Process: Entries will be reviewed by an independent panel of judges, and winners announced by 1 July 2026.
