Step into a world of wonder with The Paper Cinema, where theatre, cinema, and paper puppetry intertwine in a breath-taking live performance.
Fascinating and imaginative storytellers, The Paper Cinema, create extraordinary, magical worlds without words with vivid pen and ink drawings, intricate paper puppetry, and a treasure trove of acoustic and electronic sounds.
Set against the backdrop of Dorset’s rugged coastline, The Rock Charmer delves into enchanting legends where the stones and rocks of the landscape hold secrets. In Night Flyer, journey with our hero across abstract landscapes on a bike in pursuit of a mysterious train and a lost girl!
Accompanied by a live soundtrack, this nuanced, non-verbal performance brings stories to life as audiences watch pen and ink illustrations skilfully manipulated in real-time in front of a video camera and projected onto the big screen.
Produced by Sound UK. Night Flyer commissioned by Battersea Arts Centre.
