Drawn together by a shared love of the traditional song and balladry of England, Scotland and beyond, The Furrow Collective share timeless songs with storytelling at their heart.

For this concert, they will be playing as a trio, with Lucy Farrell – viola, voice, and saw; Emily Portman – banjo, concertina, voice; and Alasdair Roberts – guitars, voice. The band is well-loved for contemporary interpretations of folk songs, breathing new life into old ballads through song, story, and art.

They are simply one of the most formidable combinations of musicians in today’s folk music scene, and in We Know by the Moon, they have created one of the year’s outstanding albums."
