Join us on for a hands-on, imaginative workshop where children become co-designers of playful robots.

In this workshop, you will work alongside artists and researchers from Cobot Maker Space, at the University of Nottingham to explore how robots can move, respond, and express themselves. Through creative craft activities and simple prototype-building, children will develop and share ideas about how they imagine robots and what they might look like, how they behave, and what they can do. You will be encouraged to make models, sketch ideas, and build playful concepts that inspire new robotic behaviours.

Just come with curiosity and a willingness to play. The workshop is designed to be welcoming, accessible, and child-led, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and shared discovery.

This is a unique opportunity for children to take part in shaping how playful technologies are created, while building confidence and creative skills through making and imagining together!

This workshop is designed for children to enjoy independently. Parents and carers, feel free to relax in our lovely cafés or explore our galleries while the kids get creative.
