Nottingham-born pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason is in high demand the world over.

Beethoven sonatas bookend her recital, opening with the melancholic beauty of ‘Moonlight’ Sonata and ending with the virtuosic ‘Waldstein’. Ravel’s fiendishly difficult Gaspard de la nuit comprises three vividly impressionistic pieces inspired by darkly macabre 19th-century poems. The music
of Bulgarian-British composer Dobrinka Tabikova has been described as ‘riveting, piercingly beautiful and frequently radiant’, fitting descriptions of ‘Halo’ and ‘Nocturne’.
