DVORÁK Terzetto Op. 74 FAURÉ Piano Quintet in D minor, Op.89 DVORÁK Piano Quintet in A, Op.81 The Panocha Quartet was formed in 1968 by four students at the Prague Conservatory. It is the only Czech string quartet to retain its four founding members to this day and is regarded as the leading Czech string quartet. Roy Howat’s editorial work on Fauré's First Piano Quintet resulted in a complete re-evaluation of this longneglected work, and his performances of it with the Panocha Quartet have brought the house down at festivals in Japan and the Czech Republic, and at a sold-out concert at Wigmore Hall in London in 2005. Pre-concert talk 6.45pm.
