INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL
Listening to the story of Shiro who walked from his village across Japan to the Pacific Ocean, the audience are introduced to the origins of the Japanese Garden. This sets the scene for a magical multi-media journey where a dancer explores 5 beautiful miniature garden settings - a meadow, a lake, a bridge, the flowers, the sea - which form and disappear before your very eyes ... During the final part of the performance, children are invited to interact with the digital imagery, and the results are a total delight - hop between lily pads, rollick and roll through the golden meadow, peel through the petals of giant flowers or create a tune on the singing bridge with fancy footwork!
