Taking inspiration from the stones and circles of pre-historic Britain and drawing on ancient music from Shetland, Orkney, The Highlands of Scotland, Ireland and England, composer Luke Daniels explore the links between indigenous music of the British Isles and these unique pre-historic monuments. Pianist Andrew Peggie, Shetland fiddler Chris Stout (Fiddlers Bid), uillean piper Jarleth Henderson and the Elysian String Quartet combine to perform new music commissioned by the Performing Rights Society Foundation and Arts Council England.
