To mark the 75th anniversary of his death, Tangere Arts present a contemporary re-telling of this classic Lawrence story. Two women move to the country looking for a quiet life but their rural idyll is put under threat by a marauding fox and the arrival of a young solider returning from the war. Henry’s presence in the house will set the women apart and their lives will be never be the same… The Fox brilliantly fuses the sensuality of Lawrence’s tale with inspired music from Janacek’s opera “The Cunning Little Vixen” to create a passionate theatrical experience. An award-winning playwright, Stephen Lowe’s credits include The Spirit of the Man for Nottingham Playhouse and The Ragged Trousered Philanthropist for the RSC.
