Voices for Hospices Charity performance of Handel's MESSIAH
St Mary’s Church, High Pavement Nottingham with University of Nottingham Music Society University Choir University Philharmonia The Voices for Hospices appeal began as a single concert in 1988 to raise funds for a hospice in Surrey. The annual event now involves over 500 simultaneous concerts in support of more than 400 hospices and palliative care units across the world. The University of Nottingham Music Society joins forces with University Choir and University Philharmonia for this special performance of an edited version of Handel’s Messiah at the magnificent Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin in the city of Nottingham. Conducted by two of the University’s professional freelance conductors and two student assistant conductors, with soloists drawn from the student Mussoc membership and alumni this will be a concert to remember. All proceeds raised will be donated to the Voices for Hospices appeal. Tickets are available on the door.
