Bartók’s Quartet No.2 draws on the music of North Africa with rabic-influenced tune and rhythmic accompaniment.Quartet No.6 is Bartók’s most personal work and the last he wrote in Hungary before emigrating to the US. These quartets are contrasted with Beethoven’s melancholy and delicate Quartet Op.18 No.6.
