An old soul lives alone.
He likes it that way.
It’s quieter and safer.
One day, a surprise visitor plants a little seed of hope and turns this lonely life upside down.

M6’s new play, made in collaboration with Andy Manley, tells the story of Ted, a lonely old soul, whose life is changed for the better when a mysterious helping hand steps in and disrupts his quiet routine with a ‘Little Gift’. Living all alone in the big city, unnoticed & afraid to go outside, Ted dreams of being part of the action, of having friends, of joining the party.

One morning, with the arrival of a little seed of hope – everything changes for him. He has something to care for, something to have fun with and something that gives him the courage he needs to go outside and enjoy the world. But the thing with little seeds is, they grow and grow and grow and when Ted’s new friend is too big to fit back inside, they have to say goodbye. But it’s all part of a bigger plan and Ted soon finds his dream coming true.
