Presented by Aakash Odedra Company

Aakash Odedra’s new production sees him stepping outside his performance role to create a stunning dance production for seven international dancers. Named in response to the solidarity movement which followed horrific murders at the Charlie Hebdo offices in Paris, #JeSuis is an edgy and thought-provoking work. Odedra explores the strangulation of freedom of speech, the rise of xenophobic attitudes and the displacement of people through conflict.

After winning the Amnesty International Freedom of Expression Award at Edinburgh Fringe 2017, the show won its second award at the ACTA Awards in June 2018 in London for Best Dance following the NYU Abu Dhabi World Premiere and Birmingham Hippodrome European premiere. Most recently the show has been nominated for 'Best Stage Production' at the Asian Media Awards.
