Friday 23 March, 10am - 4pm
Performing Arts Studio

Suitable for ages 16+ (open to experienced performers and puppetry beginners alike)
£15 (special offer: £20 for workshop and a ticket for Sleeping Beauty performance on 22 March)

This intensive session will provide an insight into how Colette Garrigan, Director of the French Puppet company Akselere, approaches her work, and how she combines object and shadow theatre to enhance narrative.

An experienced educator, performer and writer, Colette will guide participants through the initial discovery of objects beyond their obvious functional role, progressing through different exercises to successfully animate the objects to become essential storytelling elements, including in the context of shadow theatre.

A great refresher day for those who have previous puppetry experience and an inspirational starting point for those with little or no experience but who would like to learn.
