In 2015 Ildiko and Rosie walked 220 miles across Poland and Germany, re-tracing the footsteps of Ildiko’s grandmother and her children; expelled from their home in 1945. Now in 2017, draped in gallows humour and accompanied by a live soundtrack, two bearded ladies run on treadmills through a digital landscape of the past and present. No Woman’s Land is a politically charged nod to 1920’s Kaberett, entwining the duo’s experience of their walk with Lucia’s story.
