CHINESE RIBBON DANCE & FAN DANCE Tuesday 17 February 10-11.30am (6-8 years)(Few places remaining) 12.30 - 2pm (9-12 years) £5 Learn the graceful art of fan dancing and ribbon dancing under the expert guidance of Dan Du, and share your progress with your family at the end of each session. CHINESE BRUSH PAINTING Wednesday 18 February 10-11.30am (Sold Out) and 12.30 - 2pm (Sold Out) Suitable for ages 6+ An opportunity to try out the ancient and delicate art of Chinese Brush Painting under the guidance of an expert. Learn about this fabulous art form and make some of your own distinctive oriental art work. Specialist brushes and paints are supplied. CHINESE ARTS AND CRAFTS DROP IN WORKSHOPS Saturday 21 February 1-4pm Free Suitable for ages 5+ with their families no need to book Create some fabulous decorations to hang up in your home in readiness to welcome the Year of the Ram in this free drop-in session. Staff and students from the University of Nottingham Confucius Institute will help you to paint beautiful fans, cut-out wonderful paper lanterns and write New Year messages in Chinese Calligraphy. TRADITIONAL STORIES FROM CHINA TOLD BY NICKY RAFFERTY Saturday 21 February 1pm and 3.30pm £3 Suitable for all Running time: approximately 50 minutes Consummate storyteller Nicky Rafferty will lead the audience on a journey through Chinese landscapes to discover a myriad of traditional folk tales.
