Drop in sessions between 1.30pm and 4pm on Saturday 23 March in the Angear Visitor Centre. This is a free drop in event for all ages (6+) What happens to archaeological finds once they have been excavated? Come along to the University of Nottingham Museum this Saturday to find out by taking part in a number of ‘post excavation’ activities. These include the opportunity to conserve terracotta pots, find out how to identify and record coins, try your hand at archaeological illustration and examine bio archaeological remains of plants and seeds. There will be plenty of opportunity to handle and work with archaeological objects from the Museum’s collection. The Museum will be working with specialists from Trent and Peak Archaeology, University of Lincoln Conservation Department, numismatists and archaeological illustrators.
