Britten's suite is based on the Hymn for the Dead from the Russian Orthodox Church, and is one of his most emotionally powerful instrumental works. The works for cello and electronics provide a contrasting world of colour and interest; a specially created video will be screened as Barley plays the Britten Suite. The concert finishes at approximately 8.55pm
