Colin Touchin conductor Katy Hamilton & Kate Green pianos Mozart Serenade for Wind in C minor, K 388 Poulenc Concerto for Two Pianos Schubert Mass in A flat D678 A programme rich in contrast brings together two of the University's ensembles with an opportunity to enjoy and admire some of the many accomplished instrumental and vocal soloists on campus. This concert of bright and infectiously joyful music begins with one of Mozart’s the best known works. Poulenc’s charming, double piano concerto was written to entertain; written in the neo-classical style, it contains several entertaining twists. The spontaneous Mass in Ab (flat symbol), is one of Schubert's five settings, but which today receive too infrequent performances.
