Suitable for: 12+ years Running Time approximately 1 hour We face the apocalypse. And as we head for the Exit we would like to say farewell to those who helped us Enter. Four performers telephone their mothers live via SKYPE video call, for a last goodbye, to remember and reminisce, wear sentimental clothing, play familiar songs and delve into childhood nostalgia. They are trying to determine their most meaningful shared genetic traits, to clone a super being, the mother of all, to survive the apocalypse. It’s all for you. You need them. You just don’t know it yet Blueprint is a new collaboration merging science and visual theatre, investigating the performers’ heritage culturally, genetically and personally. Developed by Zoo Indigo in collaboration with performers Suzy Gunn and Olwen Davies, media artist Barret Hodgson, Dramaturg Jon McGregor and the Centre for Genetics, University of Nottingham. Blueprint was part funded by Arts Council, England, and substantially supported by Lakeside Art Centre. Photo Credit: Jenny Swann
