Running Time approximately 90 minutes plus interval Suitable for 12+ years A special fundraising event in support of Nottingham Hospitals’ Radio and the University’s Nottingham Enrichment Fund All the backstage tales of the pits and prat-falls of a playwright’s life, with music too! Stephen Lowe (TOUCHED, OLD BIG ‘EAD IN THE SPIRIT OF MAN, and EMPTY BED BLUES and SÉANCE ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON, RAGGED TROUSERED PHILANTHROPISTS) will FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY take to the stage himself for an evening of tales of his personal dramatic disasters including: Naked in the Hilton hotel (or the Blue Boiler Suit); showtime for sheep; the buddha takes a hit; censored at nine; a night out with Van Morrison; working with acting fleas and Nigel Hawthorne; and many more tales of a lifetime in the theatre of embarassment. Never told before in public and never likely to be repeated! Stephen will have a full supporting cast of guests artists and singers including Cathy LeSurfe (ex- Fairport Convention), the Lowe-Myers family singers, David Wilson on piano, and special guests including the deep-freeze teddy bear.
