BLUE TOUCH PAPER Colin Towns composer (keyboards, voice) Benny Greb (drums) Stephan Maas (percussion) Edward Maclean (bass) Mark Lockheart (saxophones) Chris Montague (guitars) British composer and jazz musician Colin Towns' new band perform tracks from their debut album Stand Well Back. An Anglo/German sextet formed in 2010, their music reveals roots in everything from fusion and progressive rock to cinematic classicism, minimalism and funk, all wrapped in a layer of strict compositional detail and improvisational space. “Attention grabbing combination of jazz language and rock edge...Stand Well Back is one of 2011’s biggest (and most pleasant) surprises” – All About Jazz
