Universally acclaimed bass Sir John Tomlinson returns to Lakeside with a dramatic programme of settings of the poems of Michaelangelo by Britten, Wolf and Shostakovich. Semi-staged, Sir John inhabits the persona of Michaelangelo and delivers an extraordinary performance of sublime intensity and beauty. A rare opportunity to hear one of the world’s great operatic voices in the intimacy of the Djanogly Recital Hall. The concert finishes at approximately 9.15pm
