Franck: Prélude, Choral et Fugue Schubert: Impromptus, Op.142 Debussy: Préludes Book II Widely acknowledged as one of the most important musicians of his generation, Romanian-born Radu Lupu is a leading interpreter of the works of Beethoven, Brahms, Mozart and Schubert. Since winning the prestigious Van Cliburn, Enescu, and Leeds Piano Competitions in 1966, 1967 and 1969 respectively Radu Lupu has performed at all the major festivals and concert halls across Europe and the USA. He has made more than 20 recordings for London/Decca receiving a Grammy Award in 1995 for his recording of Schubert Sonatas. This concert will be a rare opportunity to hear one of the world's great musicians. Lakeside Arts Centre gratefully acknowledges support for this concert from the John Bagley Music Trust. The concert finishes at approximately 9.25pm
