THIS PERFORMANCE TOOK PLACE IN 2008 Originally formed by Charlie McKerron (Capercaillie) as an album project, Session A9 has been thrilling audiences throughout the UK. With a fabulous line-up of artists known also from their work with bands such as Peatbog Faeries and Fiddlers’ Bid, Session A9 has been wowing audiences in festival appearances. Following the success of their first album, ‘What Road?’ Session A9 has just released their second album, ‘Bottlenecks and Armbreakers’. The band line-up consists of Adam Sutherland, Charlie McKerron, Gordon Gunn and Kevin Henderson on fiddles, Tim Edey on melodeon/guitar, Brian McAlpine on keyboards, Ross Martin on guitar, and Iain Copeland on percussion. ‘Full of joyous abandon, yet synchronised and synergised with craft and care’ Celtic Connections 2004, The Sunday Herald
