The programme features supernatural motifs in multi-media genres such as early silent film and music theatre, with examples of the latter by the leading contemporary practitioners Mauricio Kagel, Gerald Barry and Heiner Goebbels. On the Edge is a boldly innovative, cross-genre project, set in the Swiss Jungfrau region, by award-winning creators Edward Rushton and Dagny Gioulami, bringing together elements of music, theatre and video. ‘University of Nottingham Music Department gratefully acknowledges financial support from the PRS Foundation, RVW Trust, Britten–Pears Foundation, Holst Foundation and three private donors.’
