THIS EVENT TOOK PLACE IN 2007 Joanne studied for a Diploma in Careers Guidance at Nottingham Trent University in the late 1990s, a breakthrough year in which she wrote her first collection, Femenismo, shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection. She has just published her second collection, Paraphernalia - a book about clutter - physical, mental and cultural. Her poetry is witty and sharp, described by Dannie Abse as coming from ‘a humorous diamond of a mind’. Bloodaxe Books is Britain's premiere poetry publisher, and has teamed up with Nottingham City Literature Development to bring four top contemporary poets to Lakeside. SPECIAL OFFER Purchase tickets for three poetry events and get the fourth free. Please note poetry events can not be booked on-line. Please call the Box Office on 0115 846 7777.
