THIS PERFORMANCE TOOK PLACE IN 2007 Following the premiere at the Singapore Arts Festival in May and performances at the Edinburgh Festival, Optical Identity comes to Lakeside for one exciting performance only. Allowing the audience to immerse themselves in a sensory world of escape, the performance will combine some of the best contemporary music from across the globe with interactive technologies to ravish the senses. The performance includes Kevin Volans’ White Man Sleeps, Franghiz Ali-Zadeh’s Mugam Sayagi for quartet and percussion, Rolf Wallin’s Phonotope I for quartet and live electronics, and a commissioned work from the UK composer Joby Talbot, known for his work with The Divine Comedy, Jack Black and the White Stripes. Music will combine with interactive technologies and visuals played live by Swiss digital artist, Jasch. 'Theatre Cryptic's work...sensuous, imaginative and sumptuously visual, an extraordinary and inovative company' -The Times To see a clip or read more information on composer, Joby Talbot please go to 'New Season Feature' under 'News and Jobs'.
