THIS PERFORMANCE TOOK PLACE IN 2007 BEETHOVEN 6 Bagatelles, Op.126 BEETHOVEN Sonata No.32 in C minor, Op.111 BEETHOVEN 33 Variations, Op.120 on a Waltz by Diabelli ‘Best Newcomer in Classical Music, 2001’ (Times), Gary Cooper is one of the foremost ambassadors of the harpsichord and fortepiano. Since making his solo Wigmore Hall debut in 2000, he has given performances throughout Europe, North America and Asia and has made countless recordings, for radio, TV and on disc, including an award-winning CD of Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier Book I, which was chosen as Sunday Times Classical Record of the Year 2000. In 2007 he has begun a project to perform and record all of Beethoven’s Piano Sonatas. 6.45pm Pre-concert discussion with Gary Cooper.
