THIS PERFORMANCE TOOK PLACE IN 2007 DOUBLE BILL The Execution of Damiens by Declan Keen Directed by Adel Al-Salloum and Sarah François Eighteenth Century Paris. Damiens stands accused of attempting to assassinate the King and the authorities are keen to take their pound of flesh. Whilst the King has escaped with only a scratch, Damiens is subjected to the Five Point torture plan. A blackly comic piece with contemporary resonance. Three Short Plays from Africa by Maïssa Bey, Moussa Diagana and Rodrigue Norman Directed by Karena Johnson Plays reflecting on love and loss, friendship and leaving and returning to face the past.
