Performing Arts Workshops
Raising Attainment in GCSE English and Drama Written Papers
Each spring term we (in collaboration with Nottingham New Theatre) deliver performances of a chosen GCSE English set text.
School package includes:
- Tickets to the show
- A teacher resource pack, including suggested Scheme of Work
- An English or Drama specific pre-show talk & post show student seminar.
This year’s text is Macbeth. Contact Louise using the details at the top of the page for booking information.
Nottingham Young Creative Awards – Theatre Category
The challenge is simple: schools, youth theatres, colleges and young companies must devise their own original 15-minute theatre performance for selection by the panel.
All styles of theatre are welcome – scripted or devised – and the work can be performed in a style of your choosing, eg physical or object theatre or even musical theatre. Most importantly it must be new piece of work, it must challenge you, it must engage your audiences, and it must tell a story.
There are three entry categories aligned to the Nottingham Young Creative Awards: 13-15 years; 16–18 years; 19-24 years.
Shortlisted pieces get the change to perform on Lakeside’s Main Stage and Winners get cash prizes. For more information on Nottingham Young Creative Awards, click here.
Outdoor Learning Workshops
The perfect sessions to enhance Geography and Science curriculums. All sessions led by our Park Ranger, Steve. Each half day session costs £100 per class.
