Part of a series of free talks from the University of Nottingham’s Rights Lab – the world's first large-scale research platform for ending slavery.
Modern slavery is increasingly in the news, but did you know that it could be present in your neighbourhood? In Nottinghamshire we have a county-wide campaign to engage local institutions, businesses, faith groups and the public in making sure our communities are slavery-free. In this talk, Alison Gardner, Associate Director of the Rights Lab will explore what modern slavery is, how it manifests globally and in the UK, and what our communities can do to combat slavery, both at home and further afield.
