Shamal is a music, art and digital-film collaboration created by visual artist Rachel Gadsden in partnership with composer Claire McCue and filmmaker Abigail Norris, performed by Rachel and cellist Lesley Shrigley Jones inside Architect of Air's Luminarium.

The epic desert landscape and the Shamal wind is a stunning metaphor for exploring the feelings of people making a cultural shift, dealing with the challenge of moving towards different ways of seeing and doing.

This is a unique opportunity to experience a work-in-progress of this powerful and moving performance. This development of Shamal has been supported through a R&D Commission by The Mayor of London's Liberty Festival as part of National Paralympic Day / Liberty Festival 2015.

Suitable for all.
