Highlights from A Midsummer Night’s Dream

By William Shakespeare

Friday 12 June, 7.30pm

Running time: approximately 90 minutes (no interval)

Selected highlights from a brand new version of perhaps the best-loved of the bard’s comedies - A Midsummer Night’s Dream - in which the fairies emerge from the jungle to interact with contemporary Kuala Lumpur business people and village folk, giving a Malaysian twist to this Shakespearean classic.  Initially performed by a cast of 28 and a crew of over 30 dedicated students and staff in April at Semenyih campus as well as in surrounding schools, director Derek Irwin has also produced this small-scale adaptation for touring to Lakeside Arts.

The performance will be followed by a post-show discussion chaired by Jack McNamara, Artistic Director of New Perspectives.

Suitable for ages 8+
