Highly regarded Welsh pianist Huw Warren performed last year at Lakeside with Quercus; he returns to perform music from two new albums: New Day with saxophonist Mark Lockheart and Everything In Between with bassist Dudley Phillips and son Zoot Warren on drums. Warren’s deep understanding of Brazilian jazz infuses the music with quirky rhythmic grooves and simple, romantic melodies. Jazz that is simultaneously complex, beautiful and approachable.
