The Amatis Piano Trio was founded in 2014 by German violinist Lea Hausmann, British cellist Samuel Shepherd and Dutch/Chinese pianist Mengjie Han. Winners of the 2015 International Parkhouse Award, they were selected as BBC New Generation Artists 2016-2018. For the 2018/2019 season the trio has been selected as ‘ECHO Rising Stars’ by the European Concert Hall Organisation.

The programme includes ‘Moorlands’ by Swedish composer Andrea Tarrodi, which received its premiere by the Amatis Piano Trio last autumn.
