Eilertsen, one of the finest bass players on the jazz scene today, has a lyrical way of treating the bass, balancing solidity and experimental approaches while constantly searching for new sounds. He has been a member of Tord Gustavsen’s ensembles since 2009 and has collaborated with trumpeter Arve Henriksen and British saxophonist Iain Ballamy, as well as Sweden’s Bobo Stenson and Fredrik Ljungkvist. His most recent album Sails Set with this remarkable trio has received critical acclaim.

This gig celebrates the release of new album And Then Comes The Night on ECM Records.
