Chopin Barcarolle Op.60
Liszt Année des pèlerinage, Book II: Italy

French-Canadian pianist Louis Lortie has attracted critical acclaim throughout Europe, Asia and the United States. He has made more than 30 recordings on the Chandos label covering repertoire from Mozart to Stravinsky, including the complete Beethoven sonatas and complete Liszt’s Années de pèlerinage. His recording of this monumental work was named one of the ten best of 2012 by the New Yorker magazine. For his debut performance at Lakeside Louis Lortie performs an imaginative programme of music inspired by Italy.
