Italian pianist Federico Colli is internationally renowned for his intelligent, imaginative interpretations and impeccable technique – he possesses anything one could hope for from a rising star.

Rave reviews and standing ovations have followed him since his wins at the SalzburgMozart Competition in 2011 and Leeds International Piano Competition in 2012. The Italian pianist’s debut programme for Lakeside includes several Scarlatti Sonatas, recently recorded on Chandos, and Mussorgsky’s intense, nuanced and supremely poised masterpiece.

“Entirely individual, Federico Colli nonetheless takes you back to the far-off days of Lupu and Perahia. I can celebrate a crystalline brilliance and translucence that takes you to the heart of everything he plays.” Gramophone
