Bernstein Symphonic Dances from West Side Story

Sinfonia dusts off their dancing shoes for Spring as they explore various dances in symphonic music. An energetic start in Russia with Borodin is matched by the Gypsy flare of Brahms' Hungarian Dances. Faure provides a more peaceful dance style with his Pavane to contrast the lively nature of the other pieces before concluding with West Side Story, where Bernstein looks to Latin American dances for inspiration.

Please note that all student tickets are £5. Unfortunatley, due to a technical error, £5 student tickets are not bookable online. Please book via the Box Office on 0115 846 7777.
