Juliet Goodden describes her car boot as a second studio from which she can easily paint in urban surroundings. She has been the artist-in residence at Nottingham Lakeside Arts throughout 2015 and her painting and drawing activities have focused on the many places of worship that make up the rich tapestry of faith in this city. She investigates such subjects and the changes to architecture and urban centres to explore wider issues relating to the immigration and movement of people. Her works reveal layers of information relating to diverse cultures, all of which are now local to specific places in Nottingham.
