THIS EXHIBITION TOOK PLACE IN 2007 Following the death of his father, Kandhola returned to his birthplace travelling from the centre of the Punjab outwards between the border of Pakistan and the Indian state boundaries of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan. The photographs document the land surrounding the various villages and side roads encountered en route but deliberately avoid the sites of human and commercial activity. TALKS Friday 21 September 6.30-7.30pm (followed by private view) Art Gallery Lecture Theatre An illustrated introduction to Max Kandhola's work by Rhonda Wilson MBE, Creative Director of Rhubarb-Rhubarb- the UK's International Festival of the Image. Thursday 25 October 6.30-7.30pm Djanogly Art Gallery Max Kandhola will give a talk about his work. Admission to both talks is free but space is limited so please book your place in advance by calling the Box Office on 0115 846 7777.
