Designed by Alan Parkinson a luminarium is a monumental installation that people enter to be immersed in the beauty of colour and light. These magnificent inflatable structures have been seen all over the world, in 35 countries, on 5 continents and since 1992 by over one million people. Yippee! The return of Architects of Air and their amazing Luminarium. Joining our favourite drummer Mark Evans, Rangoli stars Manushi, Paper folders and face-painters extraordinaire, for the first time we look forward to welcoming some new elements to our great free Family Weekend. Look out for the Tell Woman and her enormous skirt … she has wondrous stories to share with the people she meets. At the Dance 4 Stamping Ground Stage you can see some great performances and then have a go yourself in a workshop! There will be some very strange goings on with a Compost Heap unlike one you’ve ever seen before … and mind your step because Balloonatics - a crack balloon commando team - may descend and turn you into a balloon helicopter if you stand in one place for too long! Lots to do and see, and badges and stickers too. See you there! Click here to download a copy of the schedule for the weekend.
