Lakeside Arts is delighted that yesterday’s government announcement permits museums, galleries and cinemas across England to reopen from 4 July. Alongside colleagues working in arts and heritage venues nationwide, we are eager to welcome artists, families, schools, students, staff and communities back through our doors.

We are working hard across the University of Nottingham to reopen our buildings in phases to introduce the necessary social distancing measures to ensure a safe and enriching experience for all of our staff, students and visitors. We will update this page with progress and our reopening dates once confirmed, starting with the Mat Collishaw exhibition in the Djanogly Gallery which we hope to open to visitors later this summer.

More information will follow about how to pre-book so visitors can enjoy a timed visit just as soon as we have clarity on our reopening timeframe. We look forward to seeing many friends at Lakeside again soon.

A range of refund options are available for tickets purchased for Lakeside events between 16 March and 31 August: a full refund, a donation, or tickets transferred to re-scheduled performance dates (where these are confirmed). Please visit our rescheduled events page for more information.

Unfortunately, owing to security mechanisms in our ticketing system, the Box Office team are not able to issue refunds for more complex orders or for tickets that were paid for by cash or cheque while working from home. We will arrange to refund these orders as soon as our team is permitted to return to Lakeside’s buildings.

We have emailed all ticket bookers with this information and requesting information on how they would like to proceed. If you have not heard from us, please contact our Box Office team using the email address provided below.

Many thanks for your understanding, and we very much appreciate your patience.

If you wish to purchase tickets for future events you can do so via the What’s On section of our website.  If you have a query, please email us at or message us on Facebook.

We are grateful for your continued support in these unprecedented times and send our best wishes to you and your families.

In expectation that large-scale events are unlikely to be permitted in the foreseeable future without social distancing measures in place, we have unfortunately had to take the decision to cancel Lustre 2020. The health and wellbeing of our customers, staff and makers is of paramount importance, making this is the right decision at this moment in time.
