Nottingham Lakeside Arts is set in the beautiful surroundings of Highfields Park and University Park, the latter of which has Green Flag status.
Visitors are welcome to enjoy the gardens, with over 121 acres of rolling grassland, trees, shrubs and water features to explore. Take a walk around the lake, visit the recently refurbished play area outside the DH Lawrence Pavilion, or go boating on the lake during summer. There are also extensive playing fields for picnics, ball games and outdoor events.
With plenty of insects and plants to be spotted, and rocks and animals to be catalogued, young explorers can investigate the hidden worlds of Highfields Park by borrowing a free Outdoor Lakeside Investigator (OLI) bag from our Box Office. The bags are suitable for children from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 3 and include items such as activity sheets, binoculars, bug magnifiers, compasses and maps!
