Yuste Capricho Pintoresco Turina Sonata Espanola Cassadesus Sonata Toldrá Two Sonets Granados/Guinovart Fantasy on Goyescas de Falla Spanish popular songs One of the most internationally acclaimed Spanish musicians of his generation, clarinettist Joan Lluna is joined by Nigel Clayton on piano for this evocative programme featuring Spanish music at the turn of the twentieth century. Turina produced music as elegant as his native Seville; Granados is represented with a version of best known work, Goyescas and De Falla, the central figure in Spanish music during the troubled twentieth century, asserted his patriotism with with these arrangements of popular songs.
