Traditional in its choice of instruments but contemporary in style, La Volee d'Castors are back on tour with an invigorating folk sound and dynamic stage presence. Their music has its roots deep in the traditions of France, Ireland, and Scotland yet, as with Les Bottines sourieantes, is unmistakably Quebeçois, La Volee are Nicolas Froment (guitar and mandolin), Mathieu Lacas (violin), Martin Mailhot (diatonic accordeon and Irish drum) Rejean Brunet (electric bass, string bass, piano and accordeon), Frederic Bourgeois (podorythmia, diatonic accordeon, harmonica and snare drum) and Sebastien Parent (guitar and banjo).
