The extraordinary premiere, in the prison-camp hospital wing, was captured in Messiaen’s own words: ‘Never have I been heard with as much attention and understanding.’ 6.45pm Pre-concert talk by Professor Nigel Simeone The concert finishes at approximately 9.20pm
