Project Manager (0.5 Post), Inside Out of Mind

£33k pro rata (12 months beginning May/June 2014)


Inside Out of Mind is a partnership theatre production (Meeting Ground, Institute of Mental Health, Lakeside) inspired by extensive research undertaken by The University of Nottingham into the role and experience of Health Care Assistants in NHS Dementia Wards. In 2013 it played to audiences of 2,200 at Lakeside and in spring 2015 with ACE Strategic Touring Funding support it will tour to 6 venues nationally, and be filmed for distribution through cinema and networks in order to reach a total of 70,000 people.

We seek an experienced mid-scale theatre Project Manager to work closely with the partnership team, academics, local health and arts communities to deliver and maximise the potential of the national tour; to project plan and manage the development with each venue including managing the freelance Audience Development Officer; to ensure that all financial, legal, administrative and operational procedures are in place; and to ensure appropriate support for the project delivery team.

Nottingham Lakeside Arts is the University of Nottingham's Public Arts Centre and museum. With attendances of circa 200,000 people annually, Lakeside is a key part of the University's public engagement strategy, and champions knowledge exchange initiatives locally, regionally and nationally. In addition to a vibrant programme of touring companies and exhibitions, Lakeside curates exhibitions and is an originator of new theatre and dance; in 2015 our co-production Inside Out of Mind will tour nationally supported by Arts Council Strategic Touring Funding and is filmed for further distribution at a national level.

Lakeside's mission is to widen access to excellence across the visual, performing, participatory arts and culture. The new post of Head of Business Development will provide strong financial, operational and development expertise which underpins the artistic excellence across Lakeside's multi-art form, museum, learning and participation programmes locally, nationally and internationally. The successful candidate will be a driven, self-motivated individual who will represent Lakeside at meetings withing the University and externally, will deputise for the Director where required including evening/weekend work, and be able to demonstrate initiative, innovation and success at a senior level. They will have demonstrable experience of working in a thriving multi-arts organisation, and will be able to lead best practice in all areas of operational management, business development, financial control and fundraising, working closely with the Director and Senior Team members to build on Lakeside's strong reputation and record of success.

This post will be offered on a permanent contract. Hours of work are full time at 36.25h per week; Lakeside's programme and operational hours require a flexible approach across a 7 day week.

Ticketing Network East Midlands are looking for a person to join the IT team. Experienced in SSRS, Infomaker and Sql suite to both customise and create reports and stored procedures, this new job will be part of a team of three responding to and implementing development requests. The IT team works with consortium members enabling them to maximise use of the Tessitura application, in line with their business needs.
